cETLus is an NRTL safety certification issued by Intertek. It is recognised by both OSHA‑NRTL in the United States and SCC in Canada, carrying the same legal standing as cULus. The cETLus Listed mark indicates that the product complies with US UL standards and Canadian CSA standards. One single certificate allows products to be exported to both the US and Canada. Compared with UL certification, cETLus features shorter lead times and more competitive costs. It is widely accepted by Amazon and North American retailers. The Intertek control number can be verified via Intertek’s official online database.

Product Scope

      Finished electrical products including household appliances, lighting luminaires, power supplies, IT equipment, audio‑visual devices, power tools and small home appliances.

Application Process

1. Confirm applicable UL/CSA standards and submit BOM, circuit diagrams and nameplate drawings.

2. Complete safety testing with product samples.

3. Intertek reviews the test report and technical documentation.

4. Carry out the initial factory audit.

5. Issue the certificate and authorise printing of the cETLus Listed mark.

6. Annual factory surveillance audits are required thereafter to maintain certificate validity.

Certification Mark

      The cETLus Listed mark includes Intertek’s tick-shaped ETL logo together with the “c” and “us” identifiers. The Intertek control number must also be printed.

      The nameplate must adopt durable label materials. Products sold in Canada require bilingual nameplates in English and French. Unauthorised adjustment of the logo proportion is forbidden; only official vector files can be used.
