      As an EU Member State, France’s regulation of food contact materials generally follows the basic requirements of the EU Framework Regulation (EC) No 1935/2004. Where harmonised EU-specific measures have not been established for all materials, France retains and formulates certain national requirements for food contact materials. Among them, Décret n°2007-766 du 10 mai 2007 is one of the key national documents governing food contact materials in France, which implements the management requirements for relevant materials and articles under France’s domestic consumer law framework.

      In addition, the French General Directorate for Competition Policy, Consumer Affairs and Fraud Control (DGCCRF) has issued a number of technical documents and guidance notes related to food contact materials to guide compliance assessment and official enforcement practices for such materials.

      In accordance with relevant French food contact material regulations, technical documents and client requirements, provides enterprises with regulation interpretation, testing assessment and compliance technical support. We help identify applicable requirements for target markets and conduct corresponding conformity verification.
